Welcome to our web site. Please explore the pages and discover
how we are trying to help the wildlife by restoring their habitat.
Coon Camp Springs, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that
performs wildlife habitat restoration and conducts environmental
education weekends for groups like 4-H and Boy Scouts. Our
restoration work involves reducing invasive plant species, increasing
and protecting water sources and increasing plant species that the
wildlife need for nourishment.
Coon Camp Springs, Inc. is all volunteer organization. Our board
members do not collect a salary. All of the restoration labor is performed
by the board members and volunteers who believe in what we are trying
to achieve. Our board members and volunteers come from all walks of
life but have one thing in common, the love of nature and the wildlife.

 | | The big project for 2011 is the restoration of a wetland running through Walton Meadow.
|
 | | We dig one or two holding ponds every year. Most of these ponds do not retain water year |
| | round but do provide more accessible water for the wildlife during spring and summer months.
|
 | | We continue to fence off areas that contain large patches of Antelope Bitterbrush with wildlife |
| | friendly fencing. This allows the wildlife to feed on the plants but while keeping the cattle out.
|
 | | Horse Meadow Spring is being enlarged.
|
 | | Hanna's spring is being enlarged.
|
 | | We conduct at least one habitat educational weekend with 4-H kids attending and assisting on |
| | planting and/or fencing projects.
|
 | | We try to organize volunteer work weekends throughout the year. |
